I am considering rhinoplasty?
and I had a consultation with 2 very good doctors in NYC....both doctors recommended that I get a chin implant. I never considered this before, and I didn't know my chin was 'weak'. Now, I am not sure what to do. When I look at the digital image(which I have both with and without the chin implant) I am torn as to whether I should do it. It does make my face look cleaner, and it does make my nose look better...I just want to be completely happy with my rhinoplasty, and not sure if it's the chin implant that I need to do so. Also, I am concerned with what the front of this is going to look like(this they can't do in the image..only in profile). My other big concern is any complications... I don't want to lose feeling in my lip/chin, and I don't want to have an allergic reactin or something. Can anybody out there let me know if they have had both procedures done, and tell me of their experience..or if they have been in my situation before, and what decision you made. Thanks!!

- its very common for people who get rhinoplasty to also get chin implants. often their nose ends up being a main focal point and the doctors try to tone it down a little. i definitely went with the chin implant because it softens your face and ther were no complications with me. i have full facial feeling [[lol thats funny]] but its totally up to you
- Doverealbeauty.com Learn to love yourself as you are... If there is even a small chance that you could end up disfigured or worse than you were before... Is it really worth it?
- you should love your self the way you are without having to go to surgery. plastic surgery can go horribly wrong and you could end up looking really odd. also you may lose feeling in your lips if there is nerve damage. and how fun would kissing be if you couldn't feel it? not very fun. so i would say to skip the surgery and love yourself the way you already are. : )
- The fact that you're asking questions about your concerns, should tell you that you're hesitant and not convinced. The plastic surgeon is looking to line his pockets with your hard earned cash. If he told you you needed a facelift, which I'm sure you don't, would you believe him? Probably not. Just have the nose job, and tell him you're not interested in having a chin implant. If he/they insist, find another surgeon who will listen to what YOU want, not what he wants you to have. And remember to check the surgeon out first with the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. You might consider seeing an ENT guy too, and if he tells you you have a deviated septum, insurance may pay. Good luck.
- Since it's not your chin that is bothering you, I would just have the rhinoplasty. Later, if you feel you need the chin implant to make you happy, then you can get it....but I would take it slow and steady. It would be terrible if you got the chin implant and were unhappy with it.
- do you mean a NOSE JOB? .. ... .... ...... ....... ........ .......... ...___.. ........... THAT IS YOUR NOSE :]
- stop worrying, I had my nose done a few months ago and I was totally fine, infact their was almost no pain at all (and redheads are supossed to be more sensitive to pain). if you think you would look better with the surgary do it. if the chin implant makes you look better do that too, since you probably with decide you want it later then, get it over with now.you'll thank yourself later good luck
