Rhinoplasty?

Okay, so I am very seriously thinking about having this done. I already have a doctor picked out and everything. But, I am pretty nervous, considering the fact that they have to break your nose to do it. Has anyone here ever had rhinoplasty or know anyone who has had it done? I want to hear stories, good or bad! thanks.

  1. Go for it. I had it done and it didnt hurt a bit. It is a little uncomfortable because you have to breathe out of your mouth when healing but it is well worth. Just make sure that you have a good doctor. Good luck
  2. a close relative of mine had it done. She was in the recovery room happy as can be, right away. She looks so good, and feels so good about it.
  3. Well...my friend had it done and her nose is now HARD as a ROCK and doesn't move...She's sorry she did it.
  4. I had one in 1970 as a teenager. I didn't like the result, so I had one again in 1973. That was more to my liking. It looked good for over 30 years. However, in 2006 I noticed that my nasal bridge developed an indentation. So, in 2006 I had some cartilage from my ear put in the nasal indentation to fill it. It filled it OK, but it was a little too wide for my liking. So, a few months ago I had it sanded a little to make it better. It was almost to my liking, but not quite. So, I have an appointment set up next month to make it perfect. He will do it for free because I wasn't completely satisfied with the result of a few months ago. I wish my current excellent doctor was my doctor in 1970, but he was a toddler then. You need any referrals?
  5. Rhinoplasty Surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America. Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star. http://www.forerunnershealthcare.com Hope this helps.
  6. Hi there, I had a rhinoplasty done in Nov 2006 (I'm not 2 months post op). It's really not that scary.. The scariest and most difficult part is making the decision. Pain is minimal, discomfort minimal.. results are excellent provided you pick the right doctor.
