Question about breast lift procedure? Maybe someone on here knows...?

I'd get a breast lift ONLY if the incision was only around the nipple. If the incision has to be a lollipop or anchor, then I will not go through with the procedure. What kind of cases only need the incision around the nipple and not on the actual skin of the breast? What about the breast determines if you need the extra incisions? Also, what is a GOOD source of information? i.e. a particular book

  1. Breast implantation is a surgical procedure for enlarging, or augmenting, the breast. Implants are breast-shaped pouches that are saccular in shape, made of a silicone outer shell, and filled with silicone gel or saline (salt water), are used. Augmentation of the breast consists of insertionof a silicone bag (prosthesis) under the breast (submammary) orunder the breast and chest muscle (subpectoral) and then fillingthe bag with saline (salt water). This prosthesis expands thebreast area to give a fuller breast (increased cup size), givea better contour, and give more cleavage. How is the incision made? The incision (cut) may be placed at various locationssuch as: under the breast at the breast fold; periareolar whichis at the edge of the areola (brown area consisting of nippleand areola); within the areola; in the armpit (axillary); or inthe umbilical area. The thinnest scar is usually in the areola. The umbilicalincision approach is used with an endoscope (tube with a lightfor visualization and placement of the breast implant). What are smooth and textured implants? The smooth surface implant requires a large pocketand is associated with a 10% incidence of capsule contracture(tightening of the scar around the implant causing firmness orhardness). The smooth implant has only an occasional occurrenceof rippling or wrinkling which gives the overlying skin a wavyappearance. A textured (roughened surface) implant is associatedwith a 3% incidence of capsule contracture but has a 7-9% occurrenceof rippling. What are the choices of implant positions? The easiestsurgical placement of the implant is under the breast tissue (submammary). A slightly more difficult surgical placement is underthe chest muscle (submuscular or subpectoral) but this positionis associated with a lower incidence of capsule contracture andslightly less occurrence of rippling. There is more pain postoperatively than with a submammary placement. What are the options for implant size? The ultimate size of the breast is mainly a personaldecision by the patient. Cup size is an inexact estimate of thefinal size since cup sizes vary with the bra manufacturer andhow tight or loose the patient wears her bra as well as how muchbreast tissue is already present. Describing the preferred cupsize does aid the surgeon, but it also helps to look at picturesor photos to show the physician the desired final look. The most accurate method of estimating the implantsize (in ounces) is to fill a plastic bag with measured amounts of waterand place in a bra with the patient's estimated cup size. Onecan see with the bra on and covered by a sweater what the finalresult will approximate. By Breast implants there will be lot of discomforts and side effects and my advise is to avoid it as many known people have been complaining.
