is silicone still allowed to be used in breast augmentation/implants?

wasn't there a bunch of controversies about whether it should be banned or not?! is it still legal to use silicone now?

2. Yes. They outlawed silicone due to negative side effects, and saline implants were used exclusively for a while. However, silicone has been redeemed after further research and improvement of the sacs used to hold it in breast implants, and it's in use again. Still not as common as saline, but used just the same.
3. How could a doctor actually implant a breast?I don't think that it could be done.
