Are breast implants worth the money and pain?

I am considering getting breast implants this May and I wanted to get some info from some women that already have them. I am going with a silicone implant to become a C cup. I just wanted to know how bad it hurt, have you had any problems, how bad is the scarring, and do they feel real? Also, are you happy you did it or do you wish you would have never had the surgery? Thanks so much!!

  1. hell no, breast implants r so stupid, your beatiful the way u r
  2. They didn't do much for Anna Nicole. Spend the money on a really hot computer. You'll have more fun with it than you will with a couple of silicone gel-filled bags.
  3. Your beautiful the way you are,but If you want breast implants,Only you can make that choice.Your here to make yourself happy. Yes,I do have them,I went from a 34B to a 34C. It did not hurt as bad as I thought, the incisions are in my underarms,so the scar healed very well, and you can not see it at all. Just make sure the Dr. is very proper.Good luck!
  4. Any time you go under anesthesia, you risk death. I kid you not. The Dr. will have you sign a waiver stating this. So even though the risk may be small.... you should really consider this. Any surgery is risky and cosmetic procedures are no different.
  5. Is it worth the money and pain? Only you can really decide that. For some people obviously it very much is worth it. It's a personal choice just like any surgery of that nature. Everyone has a different pain tolerance, for one person it may not have been terribly painful others it might have been intensely so. Everyone reacts to all surgery differently as far as healing time, scarring or not, discomfort, etc. The question becomes, when you "improve" one area of your body, will you just find flaws in others? If it's honestly something you feel you need to do it to be happier with yourself then by all means good luck. Just think long and hard, talk to your doctor and ask to see his or her other works as well as ask to see if he has other patients that would be willing to talk to you about their experiences--many plastic surgeons do have patients that are more than willing to be recommendations so it's not as strange as it sounds and it doesn't violate doctor-patient confidentiality.
  6. I do not have them but I was considering them, just like you. It is a hard decision but in seeing some friends that have gotten them and now they sag to low and hurt their back every day, I decided against it. If you know that you are willing to have your life revolve your breasts everyday because they might not come out they way you want, you will have to keep up with them after some time and depending on your income- it might be hard and you could end up with problems that you can not afford to fix. Just think long and hard before you do this and do what is best for you, considering other factors besides how they look/feel. Best of luck.
  7. I am having a Breast reduction in a few weeks so of course I fully support breast surgery. My employer had Breast Implants last year, she went from barely filling a 30A to a 30C cup- hers look fantastic and she is just so eccstatic about them. A few days ago I gave her a spray tan so I saw her breasts fully for the first time since she had them done. Her incision was only about an 1 inch long and the scarring has almost completely disappeared. Her breasts actually look real as well which is a big bonus. Make sure that you have the implants put under the muscle as this helps to hold them in position and not to drop or slip to the side of the breasts. I have not felt her breasts for a while but they do look real now, when they were first done they were just swollen and quite full (she let me touch them) and they felt quite solid. She only had 1 1/2 weeks off work and then was straight back into it. After about 1 month she had no more pain at all, and now she is finally wearing gorgeous tops and dresses and really accentuating her breasts- they look great. You will be very happy with them. Have a look at this link: http://www.locateadoc.com/gallery.cfm/Action/List/ProcedureID/85 It has hundreds of different pictures of women who have had breast implants so you should be able to find some who have similar figures and breast size to yours. I hope this helps you :)
  8. Is not an easy decision. Everybody have a different point of view. I don't have them but I am considering it. I will not go for silicone even though it just got approved. I think sailine is better. They might sag after a while but at the same time they do not last forever and that is another thing to consider, since they'll have to be replace. I have spoken to several people and they called them water bags which is the true. We might have a different trend of small chest but I am not sure when that will start. For now, you need to do what makes you happy. You'll find different answers but once the decision is made and you get them done it is late. People know who has them they do not look real no matter which is the doctor or what kind you get. It is not only the 5k but your health. somepeople have been lucky and some had horrible experiences.
  9. hi there, no doubt you will get people telling you not to get them and that you should be happy with yourself blah blah blah... but there is more than one reason that women get breast implants. i got mine last september, my reason wasn't purely vanity. (though part was.haha) i had very uneven breasts. i breastfed 2 children and ended up with a small A on one side and a very saggy B on the other side. and because of that i had some of the surgery covered by medicare. i went up to a C cup. (and take into account that alot of women wish they had gone bigger- most implants tend to shrink slightly when settled). i had cohesive gel implants under the muscle. i was told not to drive, lift my arms above shoulder level picked up toddler etc for approx 6 weeks. so i had surgery. woke up feeling very yukky from aneastetic and feeling very tight across chest. my mum took me home (about 15 min away) the drive wasn't too bad. i was given painkillers which i used alot. i stayed with my parents for 2 days. the first 3-4 days were pretty painful. the worst is trying to get out of bed, because the muscle just under your shoulders and next to your breast have been stretched so much. but i was heaps better after that, driving within a week, hanging washing within 10-12 days. i wouldn't say the pain is unbearable at all. your breasts are really really tight feeling which is uncomfortable but not painful. it is definatley worth it. though there can be complications, i went back to my surgeon 2 days ago as one implant is alot higher than the other and it turns out that the implant has adhered to the muscle, which requires a re-do. which is now the perfect op for me to go a bit larger. as far as scarring, i was cut under the breast and they healed great, you can still see them of course but fading fast. it means alot to you and you feel will make you happier in some way then go for it. i have had no negative comments from anyone and thanks to a friend of mine everyone knows about mine. which is fine. my biggest advice is to choose the size very carefully! good luck and it really is worth it if its what you want.
