Breast Reduction?

I'm from Saskatchewan, Canada and I am looking into getting a breast reduction as my breasts really hurt my back, does anyone know if it would be covered or would I have to pay. I heard it would be covered since it is to reduce problems. I want to go to at least a C, as I am currently a DDD (or bigger). I don't need to hear it might hurt I can already imagine it won't be all fun and games. Thanks! :) From my breasts being big I have a bump on my back between my shoulders. Joe cup sized to go larger than just doubles, and yes they do go up to DDD and bigger a little hard to find but they do! Believe me I know my bra says DDD!!!!

  1. . Insurance.... !! or it will have to come from your pay check!!
  2. It can be covered - you have to have proof that its doing damage though. get a free consultation with a plastic surgen, then go to a chiropractor. you have to have proof usually for insurance to cover it. i have been toying with the idea too - just scard.
  3. I dont know about in canada, but it is often covered by insurance here in the states if a) X amount of breast tissue is removed and B) there are issues of back pain, skin infection, etc also present. Good Luck
  4. You should really get a trainer and work out before you think about that surgery. I have a friend who was going to get a breast reduction but was so scared that she got a trainer, lost 3 cup sizes and strengthened her back muscles, abs..her pain is gone and she got to keep her big magnificent boobies and has an extremely hot bod to go with them now. Her boyfriend is a happy man.
  5. In the US a doctor can refer you for the procedure and then insurance can cover it. My friend recently had it done. She said it's the best thing she ever did and wished she would have done it sooner.
  6. I'm another looking into the possibility of reduction. And as said before it should be covered as long as the size causes some sort of problem. Good luck to you! I hope it works out for the best! I still can't decide if I should get it done or not...I'm happy to see I'm not the only one though.
  7. First off, there is no such size as a DDD, they go in groupings of no more than two letters. Second, yes it will be covered under insurance. Unlike implants, a reduction is more than likely do to pains. Reason being, this could cause very serious problems to your back, legs, and neck in the future, so insurances realize this and they will cover it or else they would just need to pay more in the long run... I hope that helped.
  8. I live in Ontario,Canada and a good friend of mine had a reduction. It was totally covered because it was hurting her back. She said it was the best thingt she has ever done for herself, she also said the recovery wasn't as bad as she thought.
