After a breast augmentation?

My best friend is getting implants next month. What can I do for her or bring to her to make the recovery process easier? When my other friends have had wisdom teeth removed, I've brought over movies, and magazines, and their favorite soups, and ice cream and pudding and stuff. What kind of things would make her more comfortable? Maybe a gift card for victorias secret??

  1. Do the same thing you did for the others. Tender loving care is better than gifts. Just simply be the best friend that you are.
  2. She won't feel like moving her arms much for a while, so be available to help her out, maybe driver her places if needed. A gift card is nice anytime, but a b00b job isn't necessarily a gift-giving occasion...offer to do things she'll have trouble doing herself while she's recovering. THAT will mean a lot.
  3. Hi! When you awaken after breast augmentation surgery, you will most likely be stiff and sore. Tissues will be stretching to accommodate the breast implant and the swelling that occurs from the surgery itself. Most discomfort may be controlled with oral medications. Placement of a pain pump, which delivers medication directly to the surgical site may be recommended to control discomfort during the first 3 days after breast augmentation surgery. In some cases, small thin tubes may be placed at the incision sites to drain any excess fluid that might accumulate. You will be wearing a support bra, elastic bandage or chest band for the first week or more following the breast augmentation surgery, as recommended by your surgeon. So I suggest you can get her a support bra or elastic bandage that will make her more comfortable and it will definitely come in handy!
