My feet are messed up, would i need surgery?

I am 13 years old and my doctor when i was i baby didnt realize that my feet go inward and im flat footed, i cant wear heels and some sandels/flip flops. Do you think if i go to my doctor(not a foot doctor) he will say i might need surgery?

  1. Maybe, depending on his orthodontic history, but most likely so im afraid.
  2. i am flat footed and can wear heels and flip flops etc. I have a special insole made for my shoes which i use (unless I am wearing sandals etc). I went to physio and learned how to walk on the outside of my feet. As far as I know they do not perform surgery to correct flat feet.
  3. Yes it would probably be a good idea to check. If your toes grow to inwardly then you will have to get surgery that straightens it out and it is VERY painful. You will also have to wear a cast for a while But look on the bright side. Then you will have beautiful feet for the rest of your life =)
  4. Maybe, that could be the best option for you. Even if he recommends it, you do not have to get the surgery.
  5. Your feet going inward is probably a consequence of your flat feet. They may be corrected. If you're interested in doing so, contact me, k.sordo@gmail.com. It's free and you'd only need to do various exercises for a short period of time.
