Is there any way to fix my flat feet?
I'm 20, male, and i have flat feet. So far i haven't ever experienced any pain with my feet. My arches are just low, not completely non-existent, my heels and my fingers are both turned outwards. Is there any way to fix it without a surgery? Can the bone of my heels go to its normal position? If not is the surgery worth to do it?

- Wear an arch support. You got flat feet by wearing ill-fitting shoes.
- See a podiatrist and get measured for custom orthotics. They literally changed my life, as long as your fingers are pain free leave them alone. Good Luck
- I'm not sure about making your arch higher or the health reason to do it but I saw this documentary on this group of people living in Africa or something and they learned to walk on their toes as children and as they got older they kept walking farther and farther up on the top of their foot until their toes had completely wrapped around to the underside of their feet. If you manipulate your body over and over your body will form to that manipulation....same thing as when women used to wear corsets....after a while their torso naturally held the shape of the corset....not healthy at all but just saying.
- For your flat feet there are exercises that can sometimes help to give your foot more of an arch. I don't know if they work or not though: http://bp3.blogger.com/_RGyeQDawy5A/RrdvMVDFCZI/AAAAAAAAADc/6oG8KQdbacY/s1600-h/page_1.jpg http://bp2.blogger.com/_RGyeQDawy5A/RrdveFDFCaI/AAAAAAAAADk/g_RfvVZ2FOU/s1600-h/page_2.jpg http://bp1.blogger.com/_RGyeQDawy5A/Rrdvs1DFCbI/AAAAAAAAADs/N1qWMBi9MjM/s1600-h/page_3.jpg http://bp2.blogger.com/_RGyeQDawy5A/RrdwPFDFCcI/AAAAAAAAAD0/g5-s6pf2TtQ/s1600-h/page_4.jpg I know about these because when my mum was just a little girl the doctor adviced her to do these because she also has flat feet. As for the surgery i'd say its entirely up to you, i know how it feels when you have something you don't like about yourself and if you think it might improve your confidence its up to you wether you feel its worth the money. I hope this helps :D
- I am pretty sure 99% sure you can't "Fix" flat feet. Flat feet is really not an ailment persay, its just the way you are made. Only time I hear flat feet is when its used as a Military disqualification for service. Just means you lack Arch support for being able to maintain a huge amount of weight consistently on your back , shoulder and hips for support. Reason they do that is not based on the feet but the angle and lack of arch your feet have when 60-100lbs of equipement on your back will affect them after hours and hours of forced marching, This will cause stress fractures/ and shin splints that can do a whole lot of damage and cause tons of pain. Also just cause you pass the qualifications for military service you can still have this affect you depending on how well your bone structure is maintained.... hope this helps...
