Tumescent Liposuction?
Has anyone had this new 'safe' tumescent liposuction? and if so how did you feel afterwards and how good were the results. Was it in one visit or more? and finally what was the cost. Thanks for your help ♥

- I am a plastic surgeon in Houston and can tell you that the tumescent technique of liposuction is not new- it has been around since the 90's. It is the technique of choice for liposuction surgery. This is a true surgical procedure, and is done under local,regional, or general anesthesia. All other techniques such as mesotherapy/lipodissolve/smart lipo ect. are all trying to emulate the results of liposuction surgery without the downtime. These other modalities were invented primarily so that non plastic surgeons could try to make money doing plastic surgery procedures. The above mentioned procedures have shown some mild benefit when done in very small areas. Costs vary widely depending upon your city and the number of areas treated.
