How do you know if you have gallbladder stones?

My coworker and I have been talking and she thinks that I might have it. What are the symptoms and how much does the surgery cost? Any information at all would help. Thank You.

  1. Extreme pain in the top quadrant of your abdomen. You might show signs of jaundice if the gallstone has obstructed your bile duct. Other than that, you'd need to go into a hospital and get an ultrasound to detect it.
  2. The main symptom I'm aware of is that it hurts like hell......... and only way to confirm it is with an ultrasound + also sending a camera down there. Not sure how much the surgery costs, despite the fact 4 of my online friends have had it (2 this year alone).... but don't expect much change out of a few thousand $$$'s. If she needs the surgery, it'll most likely be done via keyhole surgery with 3 inciscions, and get sent home next day and rest up at home for a couple of weeks........ though the 1st of my friends who had it earlier this year got sent home same day, though I think that was mainly due to the fact she had a death wish and wanted to die from not having the surgery but was made to have it anyway... so kicked the Doctor, then punched the nurse that tried to drag her off him.
