ACL Surgery on November 17, Doctor is using my other knee to take the patella out. Anyone been through this?
*sorry patella tendon* I tore my left acl playing basketball, the doctor is going to take a piece of my patella tendon from the right knee and put it in my left. Has anyone had this done? And how long until I can put pressure on either leg?

- i had surgery in the eightes after a fall from a sawhorse to concrete floor surgeon saved my patella by "reducing it" and screwing it in with titanium screw it lasted till 2000 when i was having so many problems,pain etc joint was bone against bone another surgeon did a total knee replacement still using same patella am having another surgery in early december to "release" patella it is out of place(standing straight up) im not sure how your surgery will be done unless they can divide patella and use for both knees hope this gives some insight best of luck
