I have a torn labrum and no insurance...?

I have just recovered from 2 surgerys (1 torn labrum left hip, 1 torn achillis right foot). I am starting to have very sharp pain in my right hip now, the pain is EXACTLY the same as it was in my left hip injury. I have no insurance and literally no money ($75 in the bank). If I goto an emergency room and they do an MRI and find that my right labrum is torn, will they even operate to fix it? Will it have to be a scheduled surgery weeks later? I'm very unclear on how this works with no insurance. When I get the bill if you do not pay it (no way to as of now) what happens? I have heard that it by law cannot go on your credit report or effect your credit score, is this true?

  1. Yes, it can go on your credit report but not used against home buying, im not sure about your credit score. I'm sorry about not knowing the procedure for the ER room, it actuall depends on the DR, and the hospitals procedures. I would go to the ER and see what happens, try a few of them, and go to the welfare department and tell them you are disabled and can not work due to your injuries. You will get medical. Good luck. Sorry for your pain.
