Should I reschedule my foot surgery if its during my period?
My foot surgery and my period are suppose to be going on at around the same time. Should I call my doctor and reschedule or just go on with the surgery. How will they handle my period in the OR since typically you are not allowed to wear your own underwear just those mesh things. Also I am assuming that I cant wear a tampon. What should I do. I will talk to my nurse when I go in for preop but I just wondered if anyone knew what this would be like.

- I think that if you tell them then they should have accommodations for you. really i would not worry about it or at lest try not to. best of luck to you.
- You can wear a tampon, or a towel in the paper panties they give you.
