How much will my dogs surgery cost?
My dog has to be neutered, but since he is a cryptorchid (meaning his testicles haven't dropped) he has to have a special surgery. He is a 5lb chihuahua. Has anyone had this done to their dog and how much did it cost? Also how big was your dog.

- Well, my friend had her chihuahua fixed and one of his testicles hadn't dropped and it cost him about $130. But we live in a not small but not large town in Texas so it also depends on where you live.
- It varies from vet to vet but since he's a chihuahua and a small one at that I wouldn't think any more than two hundred bucks at the most
- You should just call your vet and ask. Generally it depends on how much extra work it is for the vet to get the other testicle out.
- my dog was a full grown beast when I got him neutered and he needed his scrotal sacks cut off so they wouldnt fill with blood. So it was like neuter $165.00 -because he weighed over 120 lbs, and his scrotalablatation was $50.
