Breast Augmentation Behind or infront of the Muscle?
Hi, Im getting my boobs done in 2 weeks. I would like to go for the round ones but have been told by my surgeon that due to my size because im petite that they would need to be placed behind the muscle. There is lots of pros and cons to this I know but I was just owndering if anyone has had this done and whether they would recommend it. Also whats the recovery and complications like with it!? Please help me!!!

- Nothing tackier and trashier than implants good luck with that!
- Hi, I had mine done about 2 years ago and I also had them done behind the muscle due to my size before the op. If they are done behind the muscle the recovery time is a little longer. I had to have 2 weeks off work and was in quite a lot of pain after (I dont want to scare you though, its well worth it when you see the results!!) Just make sure the hospital you use gives you plenty of pain relief to take home with you and make sure there is someone around who can help you out if needed (I struggled to lift my arms for the first few days!!) The good side of it is that because they are put in behind the muscle they are supported better and will not sag with age as much as if they were done in front of the muscle!! Hope it all goes well for you, I have never regretted having mine done!!
- Obviously only my opinion but round boobs look really silly especialy on small people and only have the implant behind the muscle if you want to be able to flex your boobs - not terribly attractive.
- I was advised to have mine placed behind the muscle as well. I'm also petite and my surgeon said that it would look entirely unrealistic. Ultimately I am glad that I had it done behind the muscle, so I definitely recommend it. After all the money that this surgery will cost, it's great to have them looking as natural as possible. It does take some getting used to, but I'm sure getting implants that are placed in front of the muscle feels just as strange in the beginning as well. As for the flexing thing, yes, they will move a little when you move your arms and use your pectoral muscles, but it's really not noticeable to anyone other than yourself. Hope this helps!
