PVNS Surgery in two weeks!?

I'm 18 and I have pvns in my knee and i'm going to have surgery to remove it in two weeks. to say the least im freaked out! they are doing the scope surgery on the front then making an s shaped incision on the back of the knee. they said it will be day surgery. i'm so afraid of waking up in BAD pain. can anyone who was this surgery or any surgery tell me if you woke up in pain? and when your put out when you wake up does if feel like you just closed your eyes? what do you feel like when you wake up? do the stitches kill? can i keep my fake nails on? what about my belly ring? and most of all do you need a catheter for this surgery because i really do not want one! if you can answer any of my question i'd be very happy!

  1. You may have some pain when you wake up, but they will give you pain medications. Yes, it does feel like you just closed your eyes a second ago when you wake up. You need to ask at the hospital or clinic where they will do the surgery about the nails and belly ring. Some places will let you keep them but others will ask you to remove them. You also need to ask about the catheter, but most likely not. It probably depends on how long they expect the surgery to take.
