having knee surgery because i have pvns?

i have pvns in my knee and i'm going to have surgery to remove it in two weeks. to say the least im freaked out! they are doing the scope surgery on the front then making an s shaped incision on the back of the knee. they said it will be day surgery. i'm so afraid of waking up in BAD pain. can anyone who was this surgery or any surgery tell me if you woke up in pain? and when your put out when you wake up does if feel like you just closed your eyes? what do you feel like when you wake up? do the stitches kill? and most of all do you need a catheter for this surgery because i really do not want one! if you can answer any of my question i'd be very happy!
