I'm interested in trying the raaw food diet. I'm 16/f and I gained weight on steroids (asthma) and I need to get a series of surgeries and I can't do them while I'm over weight. Currently I'm about 220 pounds and 5'8. I've lost 60 pounds over the past few years. I don't eat a lot (maybe once per day) and I don't like junk food or sweets or anything. I ate a piece of cake at a birthday party the other day and it made me dizzy. Just makes me feel gross. I don't really drink soft drinks either. Just water, milk and green tea (diet so no calories). Anyway I've been reading about the raw food diet and was wondering about it for weight loss. Also I don't have a lot of energy because my asthma has always got to me. Also I broke my collarbone and now I need surgery to fix it so it hurts to move. So I don't have a high energy level and I read raw food people say they feel more energetic. How do I go about starting it? Also how much does it costs to follow this way of eating? My family largely just eats what everyone else is eating and what's cheap. I know fresh veggies and stuff cost a lot of money and my family can't afford to give me special treatment. Please help and give advice. Thanks.
