What type of foods to eat during gallbladder surgery recovery?

I will be having gallbladder surgery on the 22nd of October, and I am wondering what types of foods I should prep my house with during the recovery. Soups? Jell-o? I just want to be 100% prepared.

  1. My doctor told me to just go back to eating the same way you were before. When I had my gallbladder removed I ate a lot of toast w/just jelly, lots of chicken noodle soup, jell-o. Just bland crackers, or things that are mild on your stomach. You won't feel much like eating the first few days, you will be tired and not have much of an appetite. By the end of the week, you will be hungry & able to eat normally. Good luck on the surgery, it really isn't bad at all.
  2. i had mine out last yr you wont feel up too eating much but they say to eat lower fat foods for a while then you can eat what you wnat, although cheese is a problem fo r me and trust me GB surgery is fine
