I already have my braces on but my parents have been and are unable to make payments on them. ?

My orthodontist will not due anymore work on them until the debt is paid. At this point it is so embarrassing. I am thinking i'd rather look into cosmetic surgery just to get the whole thing over with. The problem is i'll have to take out a loan. That was my life goal not to do so. Any advice? Helpful hints?

  1. If U are going to get a loan, why not get a smaller one to pay the orthodontist?
  2. You can just as easily take out a loan to pay for your braces. There are actually a few companies that make loans on a regular basis just to have braces. Please understand if you have to take them off now you always can have them put back on at a later time. Cosmetic surgery to give you the look you need from braces is pretty unrealistic. If it was something that could really be done it would be instead of two to three years in braces. I don't know how old you are but hopefully you or your parents can scrounge up enough to have them removed. If not check with you local college to see if they have a school of dentistry. If not most health clinics have dentist who does pro bono work or charges based on income. They should be able to at least get them off your teeth as it certainly can't be helpful to have them still on and not being adjusted properly.
  3. Hope your orthodontist is not mafiosa..........
  4. if ur old enough to make a living, find a way to pay your debt. the work of your orthodontist is not easy. you should have asked your parents in the first place, whether they can afford it. one thing more cosmetic dentistry is as expensive as your braces.
  5. If you are old enough to work, how about begin paying your orthodonist bill for your parents instead of making a loan for cosmetic surgery. Pay as much as you can until you are caught up and he will then begin doing work on them. You really need to get them taken care of being that you already have braces on your teeth.
