complications due to cataract surgery?

well my mom had cataract surgery just about a week or two ago and she has gone for a check up and has discovered that she has high pressure in the eye. What may be causing this and what happens if the eye drops don't make it better?

  1. High blood pressure can eventually cause blood vessels in the eye to burst or bleed. Vision may become blurred or otherwise impaired and can result in blindness. This happened to my grandmother; she had a stroke in her eye and can now only see images...nothing distinct. It has been very hard on her since she was already blind in her other eye. I wish all the luck in the world!
