How do you get Anthem Blue Cross to pay for a breast reduction?
I've been trying to get Anthem to pay for my breast reduction for almost 2 years now, they aren't budging. I'm willing to do just about anything to get it done, they just keep denying me. Is there anything else possible that I can do?? I've done physical therapy, trigger point injections, pain pills all that good stuff...still nothing. Any suggestions? I'm open to anything.

- Get written opinion letters from at least two doctors that it is a medically necessary procedure. If you can convince them that the surgery is less expensive then pain management, well, money talks.
- i was denied by two other insurance companies and finally the insurance at my new job is approving. does your job offer other insurance? call anthem and ask why they are denying you. have your GP and gyn write letters explaining the years of pain and suffering. good luck!!!
- Appeal like crazy, or see if you can get better health insurance coverage elsewhere. Have you had doctor recommendations? I'm sorry to hear that.
