Why is it so HARD to believe in a Black Man?

Why is it that A Black Man can create a tiny piece called a filament (electric light Lewis Latimer) that allows people to see in the dark? But can't be seen fit to lead a country to the true light. Why is it that A Black Man can create an instrument (clock Benjamin Banneker) that all people use to tell time? But people don't think it is time for him to run a country. Why is it that A Black Man can design a place for the high authorities to meet in & a place for the president to live in (The Capital & the White House Phillip Reid (a slave) & Pierre L'Enfant)? But not good enough to lead these meetings or live in himself. Why is it that A Black Man was brilliant enough to do the first open heart surgery (Dr. Daniel Hale Williams) and show the world how to get and preserve plasma (Dr. Charles Drew)? But not good enough to put a program in place where everyone can afford this surgery. Why is it that A Black Man was creative enough to design an instrument (traffic light Garrett Morgan) to bring multiple people (traffic) to a halt? But not seen creative enough to design a plan to bring all this unnecessary and worthless fighting between countries to an end Why is it that A Black Man could create the soles(shoes Jan Matzeliger) that people walk on everyday? But not seen good enough to fill the shoes of a bad president. Why is it that A Black Man was smart enough & brave enough to teach himself (Fredrick Douglas &Thomas Fuller - both slaves) and others how to read, write and/or calculate math? But not seen smart enough and bold enough to calculate a platform to be President to a country that sure needs another first by us. So you see my Brother and Sisters what I am saying is let us not forget our past, which led us to our present and can definitely be the backbone to our future. We were good enough, smart enough, creative enough, and bold enough then, so lets all give Obama the chance to show that we are still these things and more. We all are as strong as our weakest link, so don't be that weak link that denies our people that chance to show we still can OVERCOME & BE THE FIRST! United We Stand, Divided We Fall!

  1. Hear, hear! and amen. You get a star.
  2. Not you too! Black people didn't create any of that stuff. You're a Black person that doesn't even know her own history. Black people never invented the traffic lights. LOL!! That was founded I think in 1896 somewhere in London. I hate it when people like you feed into Neo-Nazi Propaganda; it belittles you. The White Man has created an array of things that if I juxtaposed to this will make you feel inferior. Black people, or more precisely Africans, invented the following: Sport, Music, Warfare Principles, Mathematical Principles which were later improved by Greek mathematician Pythogoras, architecture among many more modern history won't teach us. When you say things such as a Black man inventing mumbo jumbo like the shoe lace, it's actually laughable. Like I said, it belittles you. More importantly and forgetting the adrenaline and rhetoric, people don't invent things for their "race". Things are invented not for segregation of Man, but for technological advancement of the species. If this wasn't the case, I as a Black person wouldn't be using the Internet (of which was originally founded by the Russians with the DarpaNet, but eventually moved onto HTML created by Tim Berners-Lee, who you guessed, a white man).
  3. The fact that Obama is black is already out of the picture. Now he has to fight the mud slinging
  4. because people are afraid of black people
  5. Why is it that A Black Man can create a tiny piece called a filament (electric light Lewis Latimer) that allows people to see in the dark? But can't be seen fit to lead a country to the true light. True light? LOL! White men can create a list too of what they invented not just black men.
  6. why u ask so many questions?
  7. My opposition to O'bama has nothing to do with forgetting the brilliance of the black race. Many black men and women are superior to me in math,science,philosophy.etc..etc..etc... I do not wat a non military man in the white house while we are in a military engagement.Popular or not.Being a senator does not qualify for Commander in Chief.
  8. That was good.Real good. Unfortunately the GOP is far too strong. When it's over, you'll better understand that statement. At least you'll be able to say that it was fun while it lasted.
  9. I believe in Obama because he's half white
  10. A black man is good enough for me. But then again, I'm not supporting Obama because he is black. I'm just not supporting McCain.
  11. a black men did invent the traffic light.=] and some people can't accept change. change is coming, and its coming fast.
  12. I have nothing against Black people and their accomplishments - we use their inventions every day! But...I just don't like Obama, not because he's Black but because of the experience he lacks. He also talks about 'change' but seldom ever does tell us what this 'change' will be, besides complaining about Bush about starting the War and how stupid it was, not caring that's he's insulting the U.S. army. Obama's views on abortion also don't work for me. He has two kids, and yet he says that it's okay to let the babies that survive abortion to suffocate and die horribly. It would be pretty awesome to have a Black President some day, just not Obama.
  13. I agree 125% Preach it my BLack sista BARAK OBAMA )* WE CAN CHANGE OBAMA ALL DA WAY
