Want to ask a real bariatric / gastric bypass / lap band weight loss patient something?

A brilliant new tool is available at http://www.yourbariatricsurgeryguide.com/testimonials/lap-band-patient-qa.php where you can ask a weight loss surgery patient your specific answer and have the patient give you a tailored response to your exact question. No more reading though hundreds of testimonial pages that can be doctored up by the doctor. My question is how useful was this tool for people looking for info on gastric bypass and lap band procedures and how can it be improved. 10 points to the best comment/suggestion. Im not asking for opinions on the procedures.. I know that is somewhat controversial. Please read my question and respond what I am asking.

  1. i don't know about your question, but I CAN tell you the lap band is not all that. It SOUNDS like a good idea, but there really is no magic bullet when it comes to weight loss. A lap bad insertion requires surgery. It also makes eating much of anything almost near impossible. Eat more than your new, much smaller stomach will allow, and you WILL throw up. Another thing, is you will lose weight way to fast for your body to keep up with... as a result, you will have a lot of loose, hanging skin that looks very unsightly. No one mentions THAT part. THEN, you also spend years learning better eating habits, etc. The commercials make it look as good as a magic diet pill, but there are the after effects i mention here.
