would loosing 100 pounds ruin my 1/2 sleeve tattoo?
Im about to get the tattoo, its not a full 1/2 sleeve, only the front 1/2 not on the underside of my arm. Im 240 pounds, and want to get down to 140. If i loose weight SLOWLY, and do alot of exercise would it be ok? Or would it ruin the tattoo. I'll never have the $$ to get surgery to lift and tuck everything, so thats not a option. I just wonder if slower weight loss could help save the tattoo? Have any of you lost ALOT of weight and have a 1/2 sleeve? What did it end up looking like when the weight loss was over? thanks everybody.

- I ques yes because that will make your tattoo go smaller or really different
- well i have a lot of tatoos and i must say i have them everywhere, but i think if you wanna lose 100 pounds and if your still young (which you look young) I think you'll be ok just drink alot of water and you'll be ok :) good luck!! :)
- judgin by your photo icon lol
- Well , your age would be a factor, .. if you have always been bigger, and how you loose your weight and how fast. Younger skin has much more elasticity than older skin, and can pull in significantly, but I am afraid that you will have extra skin, because you can not tighten it up with exercise, and you may have to consider surgery. Now, do not loose heart. There is always a way. Always. If you are serious, then think in unconventional ways, ... like contact Oprah, .. see if you can donate skin to burn victims, .. see if you can find someone in the medical field to take an interest in you. Maybe you could reward yourself with a big sleeve tattoo, AFTER you loose the weight (ooo, Oprah might make that a show if you pulled it off), But the point is, it is all speculation at this point. Do not use this as an excuse not to loose weight (which it kinda sounds like you are planning on doing whether you know it consciously or not). "I got this beautiful tattoo, and I don't want to wreck it by loosing weight, so I better eat another sandwich"... kind of thinking. (we've all done that kind of thing). So, do some research. Ask questions, plan that tattoo, excercise, and work on changing your habits. Try this one: Eat all the vegetables (frozen or fresh) that you want (with nothing on them), no sugar and no flours, fresh fruit, water, green tea with Splenda, eggs (no more than 2 per day), a little cheese - sprinkle on top of salad amounts - so you can still see the vegetables through them, and a small handful of nuts at a time - on days when you do not eat eggs or cheese. And see where you are in a year... with everything - weight, tattoo designs, finding out sources for that extra skin removal. Let us know how you do.
