air bubble in breast ( had silicone breast implants 3 months ago) ?

I only feel it when I shower or when I put lotion. When dry I don't feel it. It is in my left breast . I know that doctors fill the breasts with air before they put the implants in to see if the size chosen is appropriate, but they deflate them from air before putting the implants in . Could it be that the Dr. didn't deflate it completely, or do you think this is something else?

  1. It would have to be 'something else'. Your body would absorb the air bubble if there was one.
  2. It could be from something else, for example when i take shallow rapid breaths i feel a slightly sharp pain in my chest, which i think is an air bubble, but that quickly passes if your breathing restores (i'm a guy by the way). As for surgery problems, only a doctor could tell.
  3. Sounds normal to me. They aren't suppose to feel real , just look real. It's getting harder to spot the fakes , but I haven't had any problem avoiding them , because of the same thing you described. Another is the big blue vein on the side of them. It is more predominate in the fakes. As with any foriegn object the body takes awhile to deal with it.
  4. I doubt it is air in the implant. Most likely it is the overlying tissue. Were the implants placed over our under the muscle? It can be done various ways. Either way, there can be tears or even pulling on the tissue which makes it feel like a bubble, when in fact, it is the tissue, or lack there of. Over time it will probably get better as the tissue regenerates and even scars to some degree. Check back in 2 or 3 more months and the issue will probably be resolved (at least to a greater extent).
  5. Hello, Air in the breast 3 months after the placement of silicone gel implants sounds a bit funny to me. I would get your surgeon to examine you to be sure all is well.
