How much will it cost to change the shape of the tip of my nose? Is that considered Rhinoplasty??

  1. Yes it is considered rhinoplasty. You need to go to a qualified ear, nose and throat surgeon and inquire about prices. If you are experiencing any breathing problems, it is possible that the surgery could be deemed medically necessary and your health insurance would pay for some/all of it (if you have health insurance). I had this type of procedure done in the 80's to correct a deviated septum--the doctor actually raised the tip of my nose to correct a flattened out portion that was obstructing my breathing. It wasn't quite the same as a cosmetic nose job, but it did improve the appearance of my nose as well. What I'm saying is talk to a qualified doctor and mention any breathing difficulties you are having--it is possible that part or all of the procedure could qualify as something other than cosmetic.
