GOOD info on heart attacks?
my best friend of over 20 yrs had a heart attack this morning. he is an active 46 yr old with no family history of heart problems. he is having open heart surgery tomorrow morning to fix a valve that is not working properly and to clear 2 valves that are 100% blocked. his cholesterol is a little high but his triglyserides? are extreamly high. i just lost another friend(he was 39) 3 months ago from heart disease and i don't want to lose another. please let me know where to find the best info on this.

- This can be pretty scary stuff...but with the right care he will will be back to his old-self (only probably healthier) in a month or two after surgery. Try the HeartFoundation for some good info...There is also the fabulous http://www.valvereplacement.com website that is full of great people who have had the same surgery as your friend. I have had this surgery myself, both the valve replacement and the by-pass...and now feel great. The Mayo hospital/clinic in the US has a really comprehensive section on hearts and stuff too......Its wonderful that he has such a caring friend like you. Just make sure you take care of your heart too , maybe you should have a checkup to make sure you dont end up in the same situation as your mates.
- One great source is going to be the American Heart Association. They have information on any and all things related to the heart and are check by physicians and peers.
- Here's a really good site that might help you with your question: http://www.healthlessonsonline.com/
- Eat less animal fat & lose weight.
