How can I get my insurance company (Empire Blue Cross - PPO) to pay for my nose job (plastic surgery)?
How can I get my insurance company (Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield - PPO) to pay for my nose job (rhinoplasty)? Is there any way I can get them to help pay for some of it at least? How? I broke my nose when I was a child, now I have a bump and sometimes trouble breathing. (Btw, anyone have any recommended doctors for the job?)

- I believe if you can get your doctor to say it is for medical purposes and not cosmetic they would pay for it. Good Luck!
- AHA! You sometimes have trouble breathing! You don't do anything. Once you find a dr, you have HIM contact the ins co and get it approved. This is something that borders on cosmetic surgery, so your dr would have to convince them that there is a medical necessitry for the surgery. Start by asking your family doctor. If you don't have one, call the local hospital, and ask to speak too a social worker.
- Get nose cancer. They'll pay for the rebuild. Otherwise, it's purely cosmetic surgery, and they won't cover it.
- I'm not an expert on this, but I would suggest you take a tour here, there are expert's tips over there.http://insurance.online-frees.info/insurance-free.htm
