Had 2 degree AV block and PAC's?

Hello. When I had surgery to take out my gallbladder, I was asked when in recovery by the anesthesialogist why I didnt tell him I had something wrong with my heart. I was told I had "a 2 degree AV block and frequent PAC's intraoperatively---Post of EKG showed frequestn supraventiculoar premature beats". What does all of this mean? I do notice like an extra heart beat in my chest sometimes, but thats it. Please help me understand this. Thank you.

  1. PAC's are extremely common (premature atrial contractions) and generally aren't treated unless considered intolerable by the patient. 2nd degree heart block, where the av node blocks some atrial to ventricular conduction on a regular basis (if all were blocked it would be a 3rd degree or Complete heart block)...No urgency, but see a good cardiologist.
