How old should I be to get laser surgery on my eyes?
Right now I am only 13 and my eyes are getting worse and worse. My dad told me we could think and research about laser surgery, but how old is a good age?

- My eye doctor said not until i'm 18 that I can because your eyes are still changing.
- YOU SHOULD HAVE YOUR DAD CONSULT WITH YOUR EYE CARE PROFESSIONAL BECAUSE EVERY ONE IS DIFFERENT.
- You need to be old enought that your vision has stabilized (not changing any more). Typically, this is about 20 or so. The problem with doing the laser surgery too soon, is that if your vision gets worse afterwards, you will have to go get glasses again! This would really suck as you would have paid 2 or 3 grand to not have to wear glasses! Usually, they can fix it again, but it is far better to wait and only have to do it once. Generally, they won't even do the procedure unless your vision hasn't changed for about 2 years or so. Also, not everybody is a good candidate for the procedure.
