Can I really get a free nose job if I say I am having trouble breathing through my nose?
I heard that this is so. I have difficulty breathing through my nose, should I get a nose job in the process??

- Your insurance might pay for it if a doctor says you need it cause you have trouble breathing.
- they dont change the structure of your nose per say. they cut out any obstruction caused by your sinus tissue.
- no i doubt that..not unless ur paying for it
- My wife tried that, her nose was fine but, you know women, she had her nose done, the Ins. paid for the breathing part but, handed me the bill for the reconstruction (which was miniscule), they were like "We Know this trick".
- It wont be a platic surgury tho. To fix teh apperance of your nose. It only would be cutting teh sinus tissue that is blocking teh air passage.
- If you have a deviated septum, insurance will usually pay to have that fixed. And while they're in there, they can also put your head in a vice and whack you silly to break your nose. Then they fix it. But insurance usually doesn't pay for the really fun whacking part. Once in a while they will, but usually that part is considered cosmetic so they won't pay. BTW - Having your nose broken that way is Very Painful for several weeks and you're very bruised and swollen for a while. I remember thinking that I just wanted my head to be cut off!! LOL It was very painful! Good luck to you!
- Doubtful, they will just take care of the functional issue, it doesn't mean they will need to reshape your nose. HTH : )
- Health insurance will generally cover a rhinoplasty if the doctor says it is because of a deviated septum.. so I guess you could call that free if you health insurance pays for it.
- My old brother went through that 2 years ago, where the doctors said they would do the surgery for free. It was a nasal reconstruction, not a rhinoplasty, and they fixed his nose like it was before he had problems. They didnt do the best job in the world, if was a good job. There is scarring from the stitches and his nostrils are not even, but his profile looks fine and in photos/pictures you cannot tell that he had a nose job. He actually looks alot better, and his nose is straight and "perfect" looking, again, it wasnt rhinoplasty. They released him from the hospital in 3 days, and was allowed to work in a week, If he had paid for his surgery I think the doctors would've not rushed him. I think his healing needed time, but since he was alot to move around, I dont think his nostrils healed well. Please dont consider this for cosmetic reasons, its very painful, why would you want to do that for yourself? my brother had 2 black eyes and a swellon face for 2 weeks. He still has complications because he has an altered structure on his face. When he sneezes he sprays, because he doesnt have much hair, and other blockage to prevent from spraying. "If its not broken, dont fix it."
- From experience, unless breathing tests prove that your beathing is impaired, then you could get surgery. Medical exams dont lie and its difficult to fake it too. I think noses are so beautiful on people. Especially on guys, if his nose is not perfect, it really becomes sexy, and make the face more beautiful
- If you healths involved. I would think yes.
