Has anyone been ripped off by LIPO-ZAP?
I am one of those persons whom has been ripped off by Lipo-Zap. I was supposed to received treatment in 14642 Newport Avenue, Suite 206, Tustin, CA 92780 . Do to some personal reasons I did not receive treatment, but now I am stuck with the bill. Just last week I called the Med Aesthetica place and asked to speak to someone regarding my account. I was re-directed to another number and left a message. I have not received a callback and now I know why. My friend did have 4 treatments. She said it was painful and has not notice any results. We both filed a Class Action Lawsuit against Lipo-Zap. - I received the treatments at the Tustin office- let me tell you first off: YOU ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE NOT GONE THROUGH WITH IT!! Because if you did- not only would you be stuck with the bill- but a stomach full of nodules and bruises. My last treatment was in August of 2007. My body looks bruised and mutilated. I was not overweight when I started the procedure- just had "problem areas" now I would pay ANYTHING to have my body back. I called their 1800 number today and they simply say their business has been shutdown!! No number to reach them/reason why. I don't know what to do. I have been seeking a refund from them for the past 10 months and always heard the same thing: "we will have our refund team contact you in SIX WEEKS" Yes, six weeks. I called everyday after that hounding them- and nothing. Now that there is no number to even call, I do not know where to start in the legal process. I refuse to just eat this $4,000 and think of it as a lesson learned. I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau and also signed up for the class action lawsuit. Please let me know if you have any more info. Again, you are so lucky you didn't have to go through the painful procedures and turn out looking like me! Please email me with any info you have!!
