Can you get in trouble for getting cosmetic surgery while in the military?

1. Will it prevent you from doing your duty? If so don't. Can you do it during leave and heal up completely? Will it make you unrecognizable as your present self? Just a few things to think about 1st
2. Depends on the circumstances for what its being done for. I highly suggest that you don't do this because you can even get in trouble for getting a sever sun burn. Keep in mind you in a sense are government property. I would ask my NCO if this was going to be OK to do or not. That way if its cleared by them then you can go ahead with it and every thing will be cool.
3. You can get cosmetic surgery, But you have to cordinate it thru the base hospital and your command. IE: you have to let the military doctors know, what you want done, so they can advise your commander. And monitor it afterwards. You also have to have enough leave saved up, to have the surgery and for the healing time. Then it will be up to your commander, to grant you that leave.
