I want to go to Nursing School to work with Plastic Surgeons. What steps do I need to take to become an RN?

How long will it take?

  1. 4 years to get a BSN (bachelors) in nursing and become RN 6 years for masters If plastic surgeon nurses need to specialize to be able to work, then you will need your masters, so 6 years. If you don't have to specialize, you can just be a regular RN, then 4 years.
  2. Contact your local colleges and universities. You are choosing a field that needs nurses--and not just Plastic Surgery nurses. You would have to take classes at your local community college and possibly at a university although I think just the cc would do.
