Why does personality change after open heart surgery?
It has been very well documented that this does in fact happen. A lot.

- Changes in the connective tissue are suspected to be directly related to personality. Especially with transplants, people have found that suddenly they (the organ recipient) have strange food cravings, or other new feelings they never had before. But it is suspected to be part of the fascia, or connective tissue that surrounds everything in the body.

- where has it been "well documented"? if it actually has, then i suppose it could be pscyhological, as open heart surgery would be a very stressful thing to go through.
