Can I get breast augmentation at a college?
My mom got breast implants many years ago and she said that she got it done at a college and it was cheaper. She said that the students were with a normal doctor and that it was VERY safe. I really want to get them done and thought that this would be a good way to go about doing it. After all, my mom is very picky about our medical care now and still suggested this to me. If not, what are my other options to get this done at a reduced price? If nothing else, how much does it cost? I live in Michigan, if that helps.

- if your mom were caring about your medical care she wld know and tell you, you shldnt get an augmentation. i have no idea how old you are but if you are looking for this kind of help on Y! answers i dont think you are too bright or too old. please, accept yourself.
- Um, it doesn't sound safe at all. If you really want to try it out, though, make sure you interview the students who are going to do the procedure and ask them a lot of thorough questions (you can search them up online) to see if they can really do a good job or not. Either way, if I were you, I'd prefer going to a professional so I'd have a lower chance of risks.
- did you know that half of all women who get breast implants require a second surgery to correct mistakes? and many of them will require a third or fourth. save you money, buy a bunch of padded bras.
- in my opinion getting it done at a college is scary and wouldn't be worth it (but i wouldn't get a boob job to start with). Look at it like you look at beauty schools, do you get your haircut at cosmetology schools just because it is cheaper? If so, you usually are a bit wary, this is the same situation only you will be under anaesthesia and getting surgery performed, do you really want to go into surgery thinking and worrying about whether the students are going to do a good job and are qualified?
