Is bruising normal after a breast augmentation?

I had mine done about 11 days ago. At first there was hardly any bruising, but now, the underside of each breast is bruised. I am not experiencing any pain and have been off pain meds since a week after surgery. did anyone else experience this?

  1. Yes, bruising is normal. You should be scheduled for a follow-up exam soon, right? Show it to them. It's hard to say what the cause of the bruising is because it's the kind of thing you need to see. Yes, bruising is normal. Yes, you should show the doctor anyway. Bruising can be a sign of an internal bleed, but it's rare. Better safe than sorry. Don't panic or anything, but make sure you bring it up at the follow up exam.
  2. thats normal dont worry,, i had mines done months ago,,the swelling and bruising usually go away by like the frist month, depends alos on what technique ur doctor did
  3. Good for you! The bruising is normal. Have you ever seen someone after a face lift? They look like someone beat them up. I just had some surgery on my back and around the incision it was bruised. The doctor will check when you go back for your follow up. As long as the suture line isn't weeping, and you are not running a fever, it is probably just post operation bruising. This was trauma to your body, and you need to heal. Good luck, and enjoy your new figure.
