Question for women who have had breast augmentation?
I enjoy running long distances and I am also considering breast augmentation....however I am going to a very conservative size, large B to small C.....After the appropriate time to heal, and with the right sports bra, does it hurt or cause any discomfort to run? Does it cause back pain?

- Yikes! Don't do it! There is nothing less appealing than pharmaceutical products in a woman's chest unless it's for reconstructive surgery. They won't feel natural, and over time will start to harden. Keep your breasts the way they are!
- yes, no matter what kind of bra you wear. when you run. of course its gonna hurt your boobs.. no matter if they are real. or fake. mine are real. and it hurts reallyyy bad to run. =/ i have DDs and im 15. i buy sports bras just for pe. when we have to run the mile. they are about 200 bucks a piece.. uhm. if you wanna keep running. dont get an augmentation.. but its your choice..
- If you are going to spend all that money, why not go bigger? There really isn't much difference between a large B and small C. And no, after appropriate healing time, they will not hurt if you are wearing a very supportive sports bra while jogging. And if you are afraid of back pain, do some back strengthening exercises at the gym.
- i'm a 34b, i know they arent big, but i know of girls that play soccer with me with a big bra size and have no problem running. all i suggest is wear two sports bras, rather than just one. and go for it girl! good luck on the surgery.
- kay my mom just got it done. she got saline water implants though. she just went up to a 32 c or something like that. for the first 4 days she was in alot of pain and had hard time walking. but now its been like a week and some days. and shes fine. . and also if your thinking about getting silicone the healing process is gonna be faster. i'd say that saline water implants are much better because if one of them were to burst for some reason then the body wouldnt react to it. it would just blend in with your body and not cause harm at all and could be done again. but when its with silicone its gonna be the complete opposite. <3 glitter
- My wife just had some installed and they are fantastic. I could never tell they where fake and she went from an A to DD. They where placed behind the muscle and with the new silicone implants you cant tell. The less expensive implants (saleen) are more noticeable and don’t feel real. I would spend the extra for the better implants IMO. As for running there will be an effect because you are adding weight to your chest but I think once healed and wearing the right sports braw you should be ok. I wopuld also recomend going bigger than a B or C. I say this because we where thinking the same as you and going more conservitive. But when it was all done the DD look great and are not all that bit. They are not so big they stand out but I would say big enough to where nice clothes. Your doctor should really help you. The dortor we used was recommended and he really new his stuff and guided use through alot of it.
- The size you are going for is not very big. After you have healed for a while, maybe 3-6 months, you shouldn't have any problem getting back to your normal routine without discomfort.
