How long is expected for the pain to stop after open heart surgery?
My Father had open heart surgery around 7 weeks ago, and he still talks of pain to his chest at about a rating of 1/10. Is this to be expected and if so does it lesson? Just wanted to hear from a previous patient. :)

- My girlfriend ( she is 34 ) had open heart surgery a year ago. She was in minor pain for a couple of months, but if you and your father are still concerned about it definatley consult with his doctor.
