Breast Augmentation???
Hello. Well, it's been much debated between me and my husband but i'm beginning to feel more and more confident in that i need to go ahead with a breast augmentation. I have had 3 children in a 4 year span and i look nothing like i used too. I've gone from a vuluptuous 145lb with a chest that could fill my bra to a 118lb frail looking 24 year old who has to pad her bra with silicone push ups. lol, insanely embarassing. So if anyone has had this done i have some questions: 1. Not to be awfuly personal, but typically, how much does it cost? I have contacted a surgeon who will call me tomorrow but until then......?? 2. Does it hurt? How long are you laid up for? 3. I've been trying to find info on the web but to no avail as far as what they actually do. What is involved? Do they use silicone like they used to or do they now use your tissue/fat. Any help/advice is much appreciated.

- Seems like you are a good candidate for breast augmentation. Make sure you have all the children you want before you do this surgery because pregnancy and breast feeding stretches our breast to the max and after it they look like deflated balloons. Breast augmentation cost anywhere from 5K to 10K depending on what exactly needs to be done. If the surgeon thinks you need a lift as well it might be more. You will need someone to take care of your children and you for at least 2 weeks and you will not be able to lift your kids or anything else heavy for months. If you have thick skin you might be able to get implants above your muscle and that will decrease recovery time and discomfort tremendously and also save you money on a lift if you needed one. They use silicone implants again and they are considered safe but most women choose saline implants. It seems to me that you need to do more research on breast augmentation and implants before you meet with the surgeon. Meet with at least three different ones and check their history and references.
- First of all: research your doctor! Get referalls, check his standing with the board, etc. This isnt something to play around with, look at what happened to Kanye West's mother. You need to be sure that this guy is for real and knows what he is doing. The cost of the surgery can range depending on who you have do it and where you live. The cost of anesthesia and other things will be a factor as well. I've heard it costing anywhere from $7,000 to $10,000. Secondly there are several different ways that you can have the implant placed. 1) through the belly button. They go through your belly button and create a channel to your breast, create a pocket, place the implant and fill it. 2) through the armpit. the same as 1, just through the armpit. 3) through the areola. With this method you can have implants placed that are filled before hand, but they make the incision by you areola, or under the breast, create the pocket and place the implant. They can also place the implant under the muscle (more naturall looking normally), or above it. It's up to you and your surgeon. For the most part, you're laid up for a week and then can't lift anything for several weeks. It's painful, how could it not be? This is something you'll probably have to go through multiple times as implants do not last forever. This is something that most people won't tell you. But they aren't meant to last forever. Sorry. Most patients aren't eligible for silicone implants anymore. It's not saline implants. Though they are doing studies and testing with the silicone. Good luck, I hope you get the result that you want!
- 1. I've heard anywhere from $5,000-$12,000 depending on where you live. 2. My friend said it was very painful, but only for a few days, with decreasing pain lasting a couple of weeks. 3. Silicone and Saline implants are available. Silicone were illegal for several years, but have been legalized again. Some people take the risk of silicone, which can be extremely toxic and even life-threatening if they leak, because they feel more "real". Also, there are different methods people use to insert them which also vary depending on which implant you use. To start, they can either go under or over the muscle. Saline implants can be inserted through the belly button all the way up and under the muscle to reduce scarring, but I've heard that this is very painful because it is so invasive. They can also be inserted under the armpit. I believe that both can also be placed through an incision on the areola. - YOur'e going to get answers from people who are goin' to say,"Love who you are" and more, but not from me! I am 48, had saline's put in two months ago. I'm nearly 50, but have 20 year old boobies! Yeah! The cost is between 4-6 thou, complete. It did hurt for a few days, aint gonna lie about that. I went back to work one week later, which was dumb because my job is very physically demanding. But the results are awesome and worth every penny!
- Around 5 grand. It does require some recovery time, and there is a lot of soreness, but nothing pills can't ease at first, and then just advil or such. They use a saline solution, basically saltwater, in a bag. Where they insert it will depend on your body type and breast size. Some doctors prefer to go in through the areola, some prefer to put the implant in the underlying muscle. Most of the time, a woman with small breasts will get the muscle implant, and a woman that had larger breasts but has lost mass and is sagging will get the implant directly in the breasts through the areola. They don't make the incision at the base anymore mostly for scar reduction purposes. The only thing about areola insertion, is that they must be careful about the nerve to the nipple. If they are not careful, you will end up with little/no feeling in the nipple. But the good side of it is, you can't tell it has been done, unlke the rather obvious scar left by an under breast insertion. No doctor here, but my wife has gone to get a consultation, and this is what the doctor told her.....
- Breast augmentation surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America. Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star. http://www.tour2india4health.com Hope this helps.
