plastic surgeons only please?
i am 14 years old and i plan on being a plastic surgeon, but i just need to know one thing, the whole cutting people open thing, well do you get used to it? were you ever grossed out by it and then got over it? once again, plastic surgeons only please, i am very serious about this question

- you are not cut out to be a surgeons of any kind. you might want to try customer service at your local wal-mart.
- Honey, you may want to try the Sciences section, but I really doubt if there are any Plastic Surgeons hangin out here waiting to answer questions. In answer to your question though, getting "grossed out" and getting over it is a person to person thing. It all depends on your "make up" or your desire to help people with your profession.
- I'm not a plastic surgeon but we've all experienced it. For most people, it doesn't bother them at all. There are the rare 1-2% who are bothered either by blood, trauma or surgery itself. And yes, some overcame their fears, some didn't. Those who didn't either went to therapy to help their fear or switched to a different specialty. Try volunteering at a hospital or doctor's clinic first. See if you like healthcare in general. Besides, it looks good on your curriculum vitae to the college admissions board.
