Getting Help paying for weight loss surgery?

I'm 24 years old and I started gaining weight when I was like 8 ish I guess... I've been up and down my whole life. but never skinny. I have to work so hard even now not to gain weight. it use 2 come off alot easier then it does now with me getting older I can tell.. I lost 100 lbs about a few years ago and kept it off for like 2 ish years. so I've done the whole diet work out diet work out stuff for my whole life... but I always get back 2 being fat at sometime or another.my husband was in the army and I was gonna get weight loss surgery then but I became pregnant with our son, which he is a true blessing. but I did not think I would be able 2 have kids at like 280-300 lbs. I was high risk the whole time and there were lots of scary times also...but then my husband got hurt and we got out of the army and now we dont have medical insurance and he is going to school and I take care of our son. I really need weight loss surgery and help getting it. it would be the tool I need 2 behealthy

  3. I haven't had a lot of luck telling people my diet plan. However, it really works. I eat three meals a day -- neither overdoing nor eating too little. I eat to be sated. Around 2-3PM I have some kind of snack: an ice-cream, a piece of cake, whatever you like. Here is where self control comes in -- supper is at 4PM and if that is not possible, no later than 6PM. After supper -- no more food. To control the hunger pains that may occur, I drink black coffee. About 2 hours before bed I switch to water. Black coffee takes away hunger pain for me. Also, 4-5 times a week I walk 7000- 8000 steps per day. It works. Because I walk my dog, it takes a little extra time, but it is also quite enjoyable.

Cant help feeling that reality is passing you by, sorry not being nasty to you, but had the same argument with several people, firstly i will explain that i had 3 operations on my spine, mobility was a prob, so weight went on.. watching a film about belsen one night and i wondered how many of those poor people had, water retention, over active glands, etc,etc, yet i did not see any over weight people there, so probably you can draw your own conclusions on this... If your children and your spouse don't deserve some one who evades the truth.. then eat moderately, don't sit in front of the box.... find some thing to do so the whole family benefit.. you have kids.. get out and enjoy them... you will enjoy the results and of course a much happier family.. wont the money be better spent on a holiday for you all.. instead of lining some rich surgeons pocket... think about it..
  5. The WLS IS a healthy choice for many, but not for all. You will need to go thru up to 6 months of testing and jump thru hoops before you can even submit a request to you insurance company, THEN you have to go thru the steering committee your surgen has. Not evey one is approved. A good Doctor will have options that are NOT going to involve surgery, if your Dr does nothing BUT operate RUN RUN RUN to anywhere but there! I had the surgery, I had an open RN-Y 05/01/2000. I lost a total of 282 pounds. I would still like to take off about 80 pounds, but it is not the only thing I think of anymore. Hindsight being what it is, I would take one more year and work my ass off before I went thru this again. And I did not have any of the complications that some people do.
