Breast Augmentation?
For the first time ever, I'm curious about breast implants. Seeking info from women who have had the procedure, in regard to the reasons why they chose to do it; How painful the surgery was; what they know now that they wish they knew before they did it; the appearance and feel of the new breasts; and any warning, advice or info, for someone who may be considering the procedure.

- I am a mammographer and I have felt/touched hundreds of breasts with implants. I don't like them at all. The majority are hard to the touch and are not pleasing to the eye. About half of my implant patients regret their decision. Interestingly enough, almost ALL of my breast reduction patients say they would do it again. The other problem I have with implants could be even more important. It is much harder to find a breast cancer on mammogram films when the woman has implants. The implants cover the majority of the breast tissue. The look like big white balloons on the film. If there is a breast cancer under that white balloon, you will never see it. If you absolutely are decided to get implants, have them inserted behind the chest wall. It won't interfere quite as much with your mammograms that way. As to your question regarding the risks involved with breast implant surgery, see the following site: http://www.breastimplantsafety.org/downloads/Inherent_Surgical_Risk_of_Breast_Implant_Surgery.pdf
- A breast implant is a synthetic, round or tear-shaped silicone shell that is filled with either sterile saline (salt water) or silicone gel. The implants are placed behind the skin or muscles in the chest to simulate a natural breast. Breast implants may be used in breast reconstruction following mastectomy for breast cancer. The implants offer women the option of having a breast-like shape with a natural feel. Breast implants also are used in breast augmentation, a cosmetic surgery women chose to alter the size or shape of their breast. - it hurts so bad. worse than child birth!!!!!!!!!! but i went from an a cup to a d cup and they look and feel natural. it was worth the money and pain. mine are under the chest wall which hurts worse but looks more natural. i think my doc just didnt give me good pain meds, . my doc made me take a mammogram to put in my file so it would be easier to detect any tissue changes in case i got cancer later. im 28 and had never had one.i had a bad size difference and was uneven. now they are perfect
- Breast augmentation surgery is very safe nowadays. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges Tummy tuck, Liposuction surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Fly2india4health Consultants. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients, as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor I personally believe that your Tummy tuck, Liposuction surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of Healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star. My cousin got her Tummy tuck, Liposuction surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results. She is all praise for Fly2india4health Consultants. She paid just 20% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her. Hope this helps Source(s): http://www.fly2india4health.com
