had hammertoe surgery(10 toes)2 wks. ago.Toes r almost completely numb still. My circulation feels weird like.?
it does right before ur foot falls alseep..been consistently like this since surgery. My doc is very critical, defensive, and self-riteous so I don't really trust his answer but he said my circulation is tryint to adjust to it's new form now that my toes r so much flatter.Intuitively I feel like they should hav felt this way 4 just the first few days after surgery..not14 but I've never had this so I don't know..am really scared. May go confirm w/ the Doc. on call today. It will cost $$ + I don't feel like putting my protective shoes on to get there cuz they irritate my toes.I no ur not a doc but what would u do?

- There's allot of things you state you won't "do" ! Maybe you should re-think your attitude,it's only your feet, perhaps you won't need to walk on them etc. I will suggest you elevate your foot, apply some ice packs, and take some Ibuprofen to reduce the swelling. That's the most common problem patients complain about, after surgery.Reduce your activities and rest this weekend with your feet elevated. Monday call your surgeon, and report the problem,it won't cost more,it's only normal "post-op" care. Take care. SW RNP
