i want flat foot surgery, but i don't know what it consists of and how long i will be off my feet for?

1. i am severely anti-surgery... whether it's for cosmetic purposes or beneficial. okay i understand if it's for an organ transplant or open heart surgery, but flat foot is totally something i would never think of doing... i have flat feet myself and i walk and run just like everyone else, so why would you want to get something like that done? unless it's stopping you from something important or you cant walk or run normally... surgery can help one area but it always wrecks another... keep that in mind.
2. i'd go to the 'good feet' store, before i'd let someone cut on my feet.
3. When people have flat feet, it causes the knees to kind of "drop" - this will also affects the hips. People who have flat feet also have back problems - It's recommended to use inserts in the shoes to correct the posture and distribute the weight evenly when standing. I do not know why you would want to create trouble for yourself? No Dr. in his/her right mind would do such surgery - unless they were desperate for money!
