What is a good gift for a woman very close to me who just had open heart surgery?

A very special person to me just had to have open heart surgery. She was my teacher a few years ago where my mom works and she has been almost like a second mother to me. She has done so much for me and I am thinking about getting her a gift. I got her a card but I am thinking I might want to get her something else. What should I get her? I really don't want to get her chocolate, flowers, ballons, because she will probably get these things from everyone. At the same time I don't want it to be really extravagant. Just a meaningful little present to let her know I am thinking of her.

1. well ifs shes like ur mom, u shud no her dislikes an hobbies, so if she likes to draw, give her some paint an paper, or maybe some embriodery tools, orsimply a big big hug, but maybe u shud get her a ballooon (yea ik u dont want to) but get her a balloon thats a big red heart , since it kinda goes wit the whole heart srugery thing,

3. a silver pendant or bracelet engraved with words that are meaningful to the two of you. Even something like :I'm there for you" or Friends forever" would be nice and not terribly expensive. Her favorite perfume, or dusting powder.
