- Well the question is why do you need a tummy tuck?? First off you need to try excersie and get your weight down and do alot of ab workout. it does wonders. But if your seriously going to get a tummy tuck they usual want to make sure your not going to have anymore childern and wait up to 6 months. Then or they will do it right away most dr. like to wait . Depending on where or who you go too Good luck
