Cosmetic Surgery?

Hello just a quick question about cosmetic surgery. Basically when you go in for say a boob job or breast reduction, is it still the same as a operation for your health. As in do they still stick one of them thing's into your hand, like they would if you was going for a health operation. The thing I am talking about is something that puts fluide in your body, and what not. Thanks to anyone that know's.

  1. Yes, you undergo a general anaethsetic.
  2. If it's the IV or Intravenous tube, then I would say yes they do. A breast reduction is a major surgery and they need the IV for a number of reasons including giving you anesthesia, pain control, and fluids. These days it's almost a given that you'll get an IV if you're going into the hospital for almost any kind of procedure. I know, my wife is in there right now with one in her hand...
  3. yes they do it needs to be there in case of emergency they may put a double one in, if in doubt about anything ask your doctor.
